Inside the Falling Body
2023

Statement
Inside the Falling Body began during a period when I was searching for temporary escape from anxiety and instability. Altered states of consciousness created a sensation of drifting away from reality, weightless, submerged and detached from the cruel adult world above.
I became fascinated by the contradiction between feeling disconnected from my body while becoming intensely aware of what existed inside it. Through watercolor, drawing and material experimentation, I translated these sensations into aquatic forms, translucent layers, distorted color and embroidery, exploring the body as something suspended between presence and disappearance.
